Turn Leftover Indian Butter Chicken Into a 20-Minute Naan Pizza weeknight dinner for two. Creamy Indian butter chicken, bubbling mozzarella, sharp cheddar, sweet red onion, and fresh cilantro piled onto garlic naan and baked until golden and crisp. If leftover butter chicken has ever lingered in your refrigerator waiting for a purpose, this Butter Chicken Pizza is about to become your favorite solution.

This easy Naan Pizza transforms yesterday's Indian Butter Chicken Recipe into a completely different meal. Best of all, it comes together in about 20 minutes, making it the perfect weeknight dinner for two when cooking from scratch isn't in the cards.
Why This Butter Chicken and Naan Pizza Recipe Works
There are leftover meals, and then there are leftover meals that somehow feel even more exciting than the original dinner.
This Butter Chicken Pizza falls squarely into the second category.
The rich, creamy butter chicken sauce acts as both the pizza sauce and the star ingredient. The warm spices pair beautifully with melted mozzarella and cheddar, while the naan creates a crisp yet chewy crust that doesn't require any dough making, rising, or planning ahead.
Even better? The entire recipe takes just 5 minutes to assemble and about 15 minutes to bake. That's dinner on the table in 20 minutes.
If you made my Indian Butter Chicken Recipe earlier in the week, you've already done the hard work. Now you're getting a second dinner from one cooking session, and that's exactly the kind of weeknight cooking I love.

Ingredients You'll Need
- Store-Bought Naan. Naan makes the perfect shortcut pizza crust. My favorite is the frozen garlic naan from Trader Joe's. It has great flavor, crisps beautifully in the oven, and is the perfect size for a dinner-for-two pizza night. That said, use whatever naan you enjoy. Stonefire, Aldi, homemade, plain, or garlic all work well.

- Leftover Butter Chicken. This recipe was specifically designed to use leftover butter chicken from my Indian Butter Chicken Recipe. The butter chicken brings rich tomato flavor, warm spices, creamy sauce, and tender charred chicken all in one ingredient. It essentially becomes both the sauce and topping for the pizza. The concentrated flavors become even more delicious after a day in the refrigerator, making leftovers ideal for pizza night.
- Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese - Mozzarella provides that classic stretchy pizza cheese pull while cheddar adds a little sharpness and extra flavor. Together they create the perfect balance.
- Red Onion - Thin slices of red onion add a little crunch and sweetness that works beautifully with the rich butter chicken.
- Fresh Cilantro - A handful of fresh cilantro added after baking brightens everything and gives the pizza that final restaurant-worthy touch.
How to Make Naan Pizza
Note: You will find the measurements and other helpful ingredient tips in the recipe card below.
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup. The foil also helps create a crisp bottom crust as the naan bakes.
Step 2: Warm the Naan and Make the Garlic Butter
Bake the naan according to the package directions until warmed through.
While the naan is heating, combine butter and minced garlic in a small ramekin. Cover with a small plate and microwave for 15 seconds. Stir, then microwave for another 15 seconds until the butter is melted and fragrant.
Step 3: Build the Pizza
Carefully remove the warm naan from the oven.

Brush the garlic butter generously over the surface of each naan. Be careful-the baking sheet will be hot.

Next, spoon the leftover butter chicken evenly across the naan, making sure every slice gets some of that creamy sauce and tender chicken.

Top with mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and sliced red onion.
Step 4: Bake Until Golden and Bubbly
Return the baking sheet to the oven on the lower rack.
Bake for 10 minutes at 425°F.
Switch the oven to broil and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, watching carefully, until the cheese is bubbling and beginning to brown in spots.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle generously with fresh cilantro.
Slice and serve immediately while the cheese is still hot and melty.

What to Serve with Butter Chicken Pizza
- Raw Carrot Salad - This is my favorite pairing. The cool, crunchy carrots provide a fresh contrast to the rich pizza and can be made while the naan pizza bakes. Five minutes of prep is all it takes.
- A simple green salad dressed with lemon juice and olive oil balances the richness of the butter chicken and cheese beautifully.
- Extra Naan and Chutney. If you're feeling a little extra, serve with warm naan and your favorite chutney on the side.
